The Cosmos dashboards are cross-company by design, fully customizable and supported, and read from a governed Cosmos warehouse rather than raw Business Central APIs.
On the standard free Power BI path, scheduled refresh is limited to once a day, and Pro is capped at eight scheduled refreshes per day on shared capacity; near-real-time refresh requires paid Premium, Premium Per User or Fabric capacity. Cosmos governs the data through its own cloud engine on a scheduled cadence so the dashboards stay current without each viewer managing refresh.
Every Business Central user gets a free Power BI license, but it is limited to a personal workspace with one scheduled data refresh per day and no sharing. To share reports, view embedded reports inside Business Central, or use Microsoft’s Power BI apps, you need Power BI Pro.
