Our booth was basically a revolving door; we spoke with 140+ unique companies, and more than one exhibitor told us we were the busiest booth on the floor. This underscores how critical reporting is and the reputation Cosmos has developed in this channel. The best part though, was real face time with customers and partners; several even offered to do case studies or public reviews, so stay tuned for those! This community is thriving, and Business Central is the future.” OnPremasaurus Made an Appearance and Learned a Few New Tricks Yes, our favorite server-room fossil stopped by our booth. The running joke was: how many tricks can we teach an old server? Turns out, quite a few. What Attendees Learned: How cloud updates really work: Features roll out automatically with change logs and controls, so no manual patching, no weekend maintenance. How to replace scripts with clicks: Use the Admin Portal to manage users, job queues, licenses, SharePoint connections, and data sources from one place. How to run multiple environments (without VMs): Stand up sandbox, region, and business-unit environments quickly, with clear promotion paths and access rules. How to author in Excel, execute in the cloud, and govern with shared models, row-level security, and scheduled refreshes. How to publish where work happens: Share to SharePoint/Teams for a single source of truth, no more version-chasing via email attachments. How to tell if their software is helping or holding them back: Run a quick “value vs. hassle” check. Tally up time spent exporting/patching, the number of manual steps per report, sources you can combine without custom scripts, and count how many users can self-serve without IT help. If those numbers aren’t improving, it’s time to stop the sunk-cost spiral and move on. We’re pleased to say that even a few lifelong on-premise folks booked Cosmos demos on the spot. Between the meet-and-greet with the Microsoft BC team, cigar rolling, the photo booth, the BC Buzz signature drink, and the glow party, it was a proper celebration of everything the BC/NAV ecosystem has built together.
